Education and experience
Dr. Adèle Gapin obtained her PhD degree in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Pau and the Adour Countries in December 2020 under the supervision of Dr. Christine Lartigau-Dagron and Dr. Antoine Bousquet, working on the elaboration of functional copolymers absorbing in the near infrared region. During her PhD, she spent three months working with Pr. Natalie Stingelin at Georgia Institute of Technology (USA). In 2021, she joined the research group of Pr. Dr. Frederik R. Wurm at the University of Twente (Netherlands) to work on the synthesis of biodegradable polymers via the introduction of selective breaking points, in close collaboration with BASF SE (Germany). In 2022, she joined the Moltech-Anjou laboratory at the University of Angers to work on the visible-light driven synthesis of semi-conducting polymers with Dr. Antoine Goujon. Then, she was appointed Assistant Professor at the LCPO in September 2023. She works on developing biodegradable semi-conducting polymers for optoelectronic and bioelectronic applications.
