Resume
Education and experience
Dr Frédérique HAM-PICHAVANT is a research engineer at the University of Bordeaux. She obtained her PhD in 1994 in organic chemistry, in collaboration between the University of Bordeaux and the society named “la Cellulose du Pin”, a producer of cellulose pulps. She studied the mechanisms of drainage on the paper machine. From 1994 to 2010, she worked at the Institute of the Pin, where she supervised research projects in relation with pulp and paper manufacturers in Aquitaine.
She has extensive experience in the field of chemistry of lignocellulosic materials, especially in the chemical characterization of cellulosic fibers and biopolymers. Since 2011, she joined the LCPO in the Biopolymers & Bio-sourced Polymers group. Together with Pr Stéphane GRELIER, she was in charge of the Xylochem platform of the Xyloforest EquipEx (ANR-10-EQX-16).
